Year-End Recap 🌸

As we close out the year and take a deep breath (and maybe a second cup of coffee), we can’t help but smile at how far The Lotus Programme has come.

When we started this journey, our dream was simple: to create a space where people are empowered, uplifted, and given real opportunities to grow. This year, that dream started to take on a very real, very beautiful shape.

Growing with Grabouw 🌱

One of the biggest highlights of our year was being part of a powerful coaching programme, where we had the privilege of mentoring small business owners in Grabouw.

Week by week, we watched entrepreneurs show up with courage, ideas, and a fierce love for their community. Together, we worked on the “unsexy” but vital things – numbers, systems, strategies - and the “heart” things too: confidence, leadership and vision.

Seeing this group not just build their own businesses, but also actively strengthen their community, reminded us exactly why The Lotus Programme exists.

Our Very First Bursary 🌟

Because of the coaching work and the funds we were able to generate through the programme, we reached a milestone that is especially close to our hearts:

We’ve successfully funded our first bursary. 💛

We’ve selected a young lady from Cape Town as our very first bursary recipient, and our goal is to fund her full tuition for 2026.

Knowing that her journey will be just a little lighter because of this support feels like the perfect “full circle” moment - from empowering business owners, to empowering a student, to shaping a better future for families and communities.

Just the Beginning

If this year has taught us anything, it’s that small, consistent steps create real, lasting change.

This is only the start of our story. In 2026, we hope to go bigger, bolder and brighter:
